PFVMH volunteers trained warriors in pre-doctor aid

Doctors of the Pirogov First Volunteer Mobile Hospital delivered tactical medicine training for servicemen at the front line: stopping a wound, applying a tourniquet, immobilizing limbs, etc.

In Bilokurakyne, Luhansk Oblast, local patients are examined and treated by three specialists of the Pirogov First Bolunteer Mobile Hospital: surgeon, oculist and traumatologist. Twice a week through July, the volunteer medic will also go to distant villages in the district.

According to preliminary data, 2,000 people, including 500 children, were examined under the two-month SRH project jointly implemented by the Pirogov First Volunteer Mobile Hospital and the United Nations Population Fund in three Luhansk Oblast’s districts.

When there was time for the doctors to go back to Kyiv, locals organized a concert for them and came to bid farewell in Ukrainian embroidered shirts – vyshyvankas.
