In January, PFVMH medevac had over 180 calls
Seven medical evacuation teams of the Pirogov First Volunteer Mobile Hospital that reinforced Ukrainian army’s medical service at the front in January provided aid to 182 patients, including 165 servicemen and 19 civilians.
Sixteen volunteer medics participated in the January mission. Most often, they provided consultation and outpatient care. In 17 cases, they also conducted primary surgical wound treatments, and eight more patients required operative interventions. Twenty-one persons were hospitalized. Six time medevac teams went for evacuation. Unfortunately, two Ukrainian defenders were killed.
A total of 30 volunteers participate in the current, February, mission, including 20 who work within medevac teams and 10 at civil hospitals of Novoaydar, Popasna, Stanytsya Luhanska and Schastya.
