Amended Health Ministry order simplifies involvement of volunteer doctors in provision of medical care in ATO zone within PFVMH

Acting Health Minister Ulana Suprun has signed an order, amending her earlier Health Ministry Order #1254, dated Nov. 18, 2016, “On organization of missions of medical workers who volunteered to provide medical aid in ATO areas.”

The new order – #590 of May 31, 2017 – has changed clause 3(2), which now provides that within the framework of the Pirogov First Volunteer Mobile Hospital project volunteer medics may be detached and placed at the disposal of not only ATO Operational Command Staff but also health care units of the Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts’ Military-Civil Administrations.

This amendment eliminates certain “bureaucratic cognitive dissonance” in the process of involving civil medics, especially pediatricians, in work in the ATO zone.
