Yaroslav Kornitsky: “At the front, you try to jump over your head to save the wounded”
Eight months ago, Yaroslav Kornitsky, a 23-year-old paramedic at the Ternopil Center for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine, joined the Pirogov First Volunteer Mobile Hospital. Together with other volunteer medics, he rescues wounded soldiers.
“You try to do your best here [in Ternopil],” Yaroslav tells Suspilne. “And there [at the front], and there also to jump over your head, do everything possible to save a limb or simply take the person to the stabilization post so that he can be saved, so that he remains alive and able to fight.”
